Part 6
I heard the -vroom vroom- of marks truck outside
I jumped up from my chair and ran outside. I grabbed my bag and went out the door. Jason was already in the car when I got there. He got out and opened the door for me.
What a gentleman, I said. I scooted into the truck .
What is on your feet? Staci asked. I was wearing ballet flats to the dance, then changing into heels, then changing out of them afterward. Mark drove us to the high school and dropped us off. He needed to find a place to park. We waited for him to return and we parted into our pairs, Jason and I, Staci and Mark, and Kym and Dean. The dance started in about 20 minutes, we took pictures with each other, and I changed my shoes.
its time to go in, Jason said.
Okay, lets go. I said eagerly and with a hint of nervousness. Nervous because this is the first time my whole class has seen Jason and me together. When we got in there, nobody noticed, GOOD!
At dances like this they play a lot of techno pop music and a lot of dirty rap songs. I am not the type of dancer where a pole should be placed in front of me, thats why I prefer the techno pop songs best. They were playing Every time We Touch by Cascada when we started to dance. I would dance with Jason at school dances before this but
this time was different. We could slow dance.
We danced for like 2 hours straight, well of course to drink water and eat something but other than that we were dancing. After a while Jason pulled me off the dance floor.
What Jason?
Abbey, I want you to now something,
okay, what is it?
I love you, and that means I would never hurt you or make you do anything you do not want to do.
Tears filled my eyes. That was the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me, Thank you, Jason, I love you too.
I hugged him, he kissed me. We walked out onto the dance floor for the last song of the night, a slow song. The title was Keep Holding On by Avril Lavigne
That is Jason and Is song.
I never knew love you catch you so quickly
I uess there is a first for everything.
The End
